My mission is to build world class organizations that deliver meaningful customer value, create innovative solutions to real problems, foster collaborative and enriching workplace cultures, and make positive differences in the world.  I aim to push teams I lead to go beyond their perceived limits, and I aspire to help individuals around me to reach new heights.

Throughout my career, I have focused on developing cross-functional leadership and change management skills through a combination of working directly in functional roles (Strategy, Operations, Finance, Marketing), leading functions (Strategy & Operations, Sales & Marketing), and leading cross-functional teams (Head of Operations, General Manager); as well as spearheading transformation initiatives across multiple organizations. These collective experiences have given me the unique ability to lead cross-functional teams authentically and effectively during both peaceful and challenging times, and guide organizations through major transformations - experiences especially important as we enter this turbulent age of AI.

Leadership lessons from my previous experiences

Aligning Stakeholder Needs with Disruptive Business Models
Effective - and often Disruptive - business models align multiple stakeholder interests.  In marketplaces, for example, this includes aligning platforms, consumers, and suppliers alike, like Airbnb vs. prioritizing one group over others, as seen in earlier approaches by TripAdvisor and VRBO.

Moving up the value chain

Co-led strategy and operational plan to move $800M branded poultry business from fresh (e.g. raw chicken) to further processed (e.g. meals), driving an 8% y/y growth in first year.

Changing business models

Led initiatives to transition business from subscription to e-commerce, driving 15% increase in operating profit

Shifting to product-centric UX

Led initiatives to shift business towards a product-focused e-commerce user experience (vs. retailer-focused) in order to create value and stem disintermediation, driving 5% EBITDA growth

North America Market Expansion

Led market expansion efforts at Weedmaps that boosted non-core market revenue by 5pp by developing a novel market strategy and aligning Sales & Marketing with go-to-market tactics

Supply Acquisition Scale-up

Overhauled Tripadvisor's supply acquisition strategy, doubling supply and halving acquisition costs through analytical enhancements, team restructuring, and optimizing marketing mix

Booking Revenue Maximization

Implemented a revenue strategy at Tripadvisor to convert expiring booking requests, significantly boosting acceptance rates and driving a 300% ROI.

Direct Store Delivery Strategy

Led a distribution strategy at Maple Leaf Foods for a $1 billion business that identified $20 million in savings, enhancing efficiency and competitive position.
